Emmerdale has revealed how Kim Tate rumbled Caleb Miligan's master plan - and who helped her.
At the end of last night's episode, Kim stopped Caleb right in his tracks as he tried to steal all her money. He had planned to transfer it out of her accounts during the wedding, but had to move things forward when he found out Nicky had called off the wedding.
Confronting him today, Kim revealed exactly how she found out Caleb was lying to her and what happened.
"You were just trying too hard Caleb. Call it a sixth sense, I had this little voice in my head telling me to be careful. I’ve got where I am today listening to that little voice," Kim told him, as he implored: "I was trying to help you."
Kim then explained what made her suspicious - and who actually rumbled his secret.
She added: "Every time you solved a problem at the drop of a hat, the voice got louder. Screwing over your new family to get the farm, I was impressed. That naughty little move set a few alarm bells off for Will.
"I just thought you were another flashy boy trying to get a piece of the pie. The funny thing is what finally gave you away. The song. A song I’d been listening to by myself and not long after you were happily singing away. Forever in blue jeans."
He couldn't believe a song had exposed him, telling her: "Oh my god are you actually serious?"
To which she replied: "Remember me insisting on meeting your architect? With hindsight that was another mistake. When he failed to correct the deliberate mistakes on the plan, I did indulge myself a little. Does the name Seth Armstrong mean anything to you?"
As Caleb confirmed he knew him, that he was the guy at the planning office, and "everything was cleared by him," Kim then chimed in to say: "Though I imagine you must have found it quite difficult, given that he’s been dead for 20 years. That was when I knew."
She warned him: "I still wasn’t sure what your angle was. Will followed your man today, Adrian. They enjoyed a little chat. Very illuminating. I can’t fault your ambition but you were never going to get your grubby little hands on my money."
