Emmerdale has cast Peaky Blinder's star Jack Parr, who is best known as Dougie Bill in the final series of the BBC's period gangster drama, for a major new role reportedly involved in a "shocking" upcoming storyline.
The actor, who starred opposite Cillian Murphy, is expected to make his debut on the long-running ITV soap as soon as next week.
Jack will play newcomer Jordan, according to reports, and the newcomer is set to stir things up with his dramatic entrance as he becomes embroiled in the lives of several villagers.

Parr confirmed the news on Twitter that he will soon make his soap debut as Jordan – a new character who becomes a divisive figure in the village.
According to The Sun, a TV insider revealed: "Jordan will arrive in the village in a shocking way and end up pitting neighbour against neighbour. It's going to be a dramatic storyline and take on a serious issue."
It is rumoured that Jack's character will become involved with Noah Dingle and his developing storyline that focuses on a "serious" issue.
Noah, who is played by Jack Downham, has been seen reacting violently after being rejected or overlooked by women in recent weeks.
And his concerning behaviour has left viewers prediction that his actions could lead to him becoming an "incel".
An incel (involuntary celibate) is defined as a member of an online community of young men who "consider themselves unable to attract women sexually" and who often act in a hostile way towards women who turn down their advances.
In recent weeks, Noah’s behaviour has seen him call Chloe (Jessie Elland) the ‘village bike’, he told Amelia (Daisy Campbell) no boy would ever get with her and implied to Samson (Sam Hall) that all girls want when they’re Cathy’s (Gabrielle Dowling) age is sex.
It is rumoured that newcomer Jordan could be in someway involved with the incel community.
While Jack Parr is certainly best known for his roles in Peaky Blinders, he has also previously taken on roles in Silent Witness and One Shot.
He will also appear in Apple TV's upcoming war drama miniseries, Masters of the Air.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the young actor will reprise his role as Dougie in the Peaky Blinders film, which is expected to begin production at the start of 2023.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub.
