Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson has addressed whether pregnant teen Amelia Spencer will give birth during the big 50th anniversary episodes.
There will be a month of chaos and drama this October, as well as a special week featuring stunts and bombshells as the ITV soap celebrates its milestone.
Viewers have been guessing pregnant Amelia will give birth during the special episodes, after it was teased earlier in the year that a baby would arrive around this time.
Now, Jane has teased it might not be during the big week that Amelia welcomes her baby - but the teen is caught up in the massive episodes.
A huge windstorm will devastate the village and leave lives on the line later this year, and it appears poor Amelia will face danger.
Whether she is found in time is being kept under wraps, but there are huge scenes ahead for the teen and her loved ones.
Jane revealed: "Amelia is due soon, and whether or not she has the baby in the 50th celebrations I'm obviously not going to tell you.
"But Amelia does play a very big part in the storm and when she needs to be found, because she's stuck on her own, she does play a very big part.
"You'll just have to wait and see that and then going forward, we have just the brilliantness of the Dingles against the Spencers against everybody, and there are some fantastic proper family rows that are gonna take place between these.
"There are some brilliant scenes coming up so yeah, that story has got a lot of legs."
Jane later added: "There is Amelia as we said, will she or won't she have the baby during the 50th... so that's going to have a huge part to play."
It comes as Jane and fellow producer Kate Brooks teased deadly scenes were on the way, with stunts that soap fans may not have seen before.
Kate teased: " As part of our big 50th Week, although there's a general month of celebrations, the big 50th week will focus on a massive storm that is going to rip through the village and absolutely leave a massive trail of destruction in its wake."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
