Emmerdale’s Mackenzie Boyd has made a surprise return to the village after an emotional exit earlier this month.
Mack has been struggling with where he stands with Charity Dingle, after mistakenly adding fuel to the fire in her feud with family member Chas.
But on Thursday’s instalment of the ITV soap, Mack returned to the Dales after his sister Moira dumped her in the middle of nowhere at the side of the road.
Charity was left abandoned as Moira determined to avenge her brother, after learning Charity nearly kissed her ex-partner Vanessa.
As Charity walked at the side of the road, without her purse or phone, a silver car approached and she rushed to ask for a ride back to civilization - only to see that Mack was driving the car.
He then explained that Vanessa had called him from Charity’s phone, which Moira dumped kerbside in her bag before the pair set off on the ill-fated road trip.
Mack asked: “Moira left you stranded because?”
Charity replied: “Last night she was being unusually nice about you and me and basically said she would bring me to you. Needless to say, we failed to agree on a suitable soundtrack for the journey.” She then added, “She wasn’t happy I sacked you.”
Charity then pleaded with Mack to come home to the village, which he agreed to - only to ask Charity and Vanessa point-blank in the pub about their alleged kiss.
Elsewhere on Thursday’s hour-long instalment of the ITV soap, Emmerdale fans were thrown as Nate Robinson made a return after months of absence from screen of the Dales drama.
Nate (Jurell Carter) has been missing from soap screens ever since Tracy Metcalfe’s (Amy Walsh) exit from Emmerdale, while the actress is on maternity leave after welcoming her first child with EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith in December.
Tracy is spending time away from the village working in Nottingham after she was offered an exciting job.
While she was initially unsure if she should take it, concerned about her relationship with Nate and taking young Frankie away from her dad, Nate persuaded her to go and reset after a difficult year.
It's not clear where Nate has been all this time, as he hasn't been on screen since then, but it doesn't appear he was away from the village.
Nate finally returned to Emmerdale screens on Thursday evening amid the heartbreak, leaving fans questioning where the character has been since he last appeared in January.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “More to the point why has Nate not been seen since she left in January (before tonight).”
