Emmerdale 's Caleb Miligan actor Will Ash teased a "darker" side to his character would be shown, in the lead-up to his big secret coming to light.
Viewers know that Caleb and his son Nicky have teamed up to destroy Kim Tate, and take everything she owns.
Caleb is the secret son of Kim's ex Frank Tate, who she left to die over 20 years ago on the ITV soap.
Somehow Caleb knows this and he blames her for his father's death, while he also believes Kim's fortune belongs to him.
As Caleb continues his secret plan against Kim, he faces trouble from Nicky who doesn't want to go ahead with it.
Sharing viewers would see more "ruthless" scenes for Caleb as his character gets "darker", Will talked about his clashes with son Nicky over their plan.
Will revealed: "[Nicky] has voiced reluctance about going through with it and I find out he's gay, and I'm furious that he didn't tell me he was gay, because then he probably wouldn't have put him in that position where he forced him to marry Gabby.
"But then he's still like you have got to go ahead with this. Then on the day of the wedding when he tells Gabby he's gay and he doesn't wanna marry her, that's when I punch him and tell him he's now gonna be a decoy.
"I'm trying to clean Kim out and it's gonna look like it's Nicky trying to clean her out, not me. So he throws him under the bus.
"He's ruthless in that this pursuit of Home Farm, he won't let anything get in the way. He's gonna stick to the plan. [He and Nicky] clash because he can see him wavering all the time."
Actor Will also revealed that he could risk losing his family, as his determination for revenge against Kim sees him caught up in it all.
Will said: "He's invested in his family definitely, Cain and Chas and the Dingles, because they have been so good to him and so accepting.
"There is a bitterness and a darkness in Caleb because he was brought up in a children's home and being discarded as a baby, so there's s real darkness inside of him.
"They give him a lot of light so I think he genuinely wants to stay in the village and with them. There is also the thing about wanting… for me it gets the better of him, this pursuit of Home Farm.
"He loses sight of everything going on, it becomes almost like greed he can't see the wood from the trees, he's horrible to his son and kind of throws the rest of his family under the bus all because he hates Kim. He really, really hates her."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
