Emmanuel Petit has told Declan Rice to snub Chelsea in favour of a move to Arsenal.
The West Ham United skipper has long been linked with a return to the club he spent time with as a youngster, before being released as a teenager and snapped up by the Hammers.
His progression in east London has seen him become a mainstay in the England team, as well as a transfer target for the biggest clubs in Europe including Manchester United and the aforementioned London duo.

What was once seen as a better move to Stamford Bridge, former Blues midfielder Petit believes the two clubs have different futures and that Rice would be 'perfect' for the current Premier League leaders - although there are currently no rumours the Gunners are interested in the England midfielder.
Petit told Compare.Bet: "I know that Chelsea wants him, but if I were Declan Rice, I wouldn’t go to Chelsea, I would go to Arsenal. The two clubs are going in different directions and the way Arsenal is playing, he would be the perfect option for Arsenal."
Rice's contract expires in 2024 with an option of a further 12 months and David Moyes said at the end of 2022 that there 'will be no chance Declan Rice leaves in this [the January transfer] window.'
