Emma Raducanu continues her French Open campaign on Wednesday morning when she faces Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
The British teenager was made to work hard on her Roland Garros debut against 17-year-old Linda Noskova before eventually getting the job done with a 6-7 7-5 6-1 win.
It would have been a relief for Raducanu to get through a testing match without any injury concerns and the 12th seed is certainly enjoying life in Paris, comparing it to her incredible run to the title at Flushing Meadows last summer.
“The French Open gives me similar vibes to the US Open, just because of the crowd and how involved they get,” Raducanu said.
“It’s a complete contrast to Wimbledon, where it’s dead silent. You can actually hear a pin drop before you serve, it’s incredible.”
Attention now turns to Sasnovich, who dropped just five games in her first-round win over Wang Xinyu. The world number 47 has already matched her best French Open run, having never made it into the third round in six main-draw attempts.

The second-round match between Emma Raducanu and Aliaksandra Sasnovich will take place on Wednesday, May 25.
The pair are first on Suzanne Lenglen in the morning and should take to the court at 10am BST.
Three-time Grand Slam winner Angelique Kerber or Elsa Jacquemot await the winner in the third round.
