Emma Raducanu is working with a coach from her junior days as she prepares to return to action in the new year.
The former US Open champion is scheduled to play in Auckland in the opening week of 2024 prior to the Australian Open, her first outings since surgery on both her wrists and ankle.
Raducanu has been upping her return at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton where she has been working with coach Nick Cavaday.
Cavaday was previously head coach at the LTA High Performance Centre in Bromley where she played in her early teens.
And the former British player is now tipped to travel to Raducanu in the new year for her return to the WTA for the first time since April this year.
The partnership with Cavaday has not been confirmed by her management team, and she has also been working with former Top70 player Somdev Devvarman, who has acted as her occasional hitting partner more recently.
Cavaday has most recently been heading up the LTA’s national academy in Loughborough but previously coached top-50 player Aljaz Bedene as well as British doubles player Dominic Inglot.
