During the latest episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks, Jets wide receiver Jerome Kapp stole the show during the team’s rookie talent show.
With a beanie on his head and his hood up, Kapp stood in front of the entire team and put on a rendition of a freestyle rapped by Eminem’s character, B-Rabbit, in the 2002 movie 8 Mile. The performance drew immense applause from his teammates.
But it wasn’t only his teammates who appreciated the effort he put into his talent show performance, as he earned an awesome shoutout from Eminem himself.
The 50-year-old rapper posted a clip of the performance on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday, tagging Kapp and captioning the post with a saluting emoji.

Kapp’s performance went viral after the third episode of this year’s Hard Knocks aired.
Kapp, 24, played college football at Kutztown University before latching on with New York as an undrafted free agent this offseason. He scored nine touchdowns as a senior for the Division II program, and is looking to secure a spot on the Jets’ 53-man roster.
Across three preseason games, Kapp has one reception and six yards, having been targeted twice.
