Emily Atack hits back as ‘savage’ trolls accuse her of looking ‘like porn star’

Emily Atack has laughed off a meme which insinuated that she looked like a porn star.

The years-old snap shows her posing up in the back of a taxi in a green thigh-skimmig dress and lifting up her sunglasses while sticking her tongue out at the camera.

The actor, 32, is best known for playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe on popular E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners from 2008 to 2010.

And whilst it's been more than a decade since she played the character on-screen, the role was recently referenced in a meme that made its way around social media.

She shared the picture on Instagram almost two years ago, but it's now been turned into a meme which insinuated the I'm a Celebrity alum looked like a character from a porno.

And she was quick to hit back.

Alongside the photo, someone had written in a social media post: "Looks like Charlotte from The Inbetweeners has had quite a dramatic career change."

The meme is understood to be referring to a porn series in which a man has sex with women in the back of a taxi.

Emily appeared to get the reference and shared the post on Instagram, saying: "Ffs. Here we go again." She however seemed to find it amusing, including a laughing emoji.

Another social media user tried to clarify the post, writing: "For those who are confused, FakeTaxi is a porno site where the guy messes up women in the back of a taxi."

The presenter even had a witty response to the explanation, with her sharing it and writing alongside it: "Don't think anyone's confused hun."

She later shared another comment written about the post, in which a troll had said: "I'd rather watch that than her stand-up to be fair."

The Celebrity Juice team captain had a response for this too, writing: "This comment should have more likes. Savage." She accompanied it with three laughing emojis.
