Emily MacDonagh has shared her experience and advice on breastfeeding as she reaches out to mums who might be struggling – all the while ignoring an explosive attack from bitter love rival Katie Price.
The 32-year-old mum-of-two – who is famously married to Peter Andre, 48 – says she struggled herself while breastfeeding her son, Theo, who is now five-years-old.
She said that she was introduced to breastfeeding counsellors who offered her top advice and support – and says she had no idea they existed before she welcomed her son, who is her second child after eight-year-old daughter Amelia.
Now Emily is spreading the word about breastfeeding counsellors far and wide to give other mums the chance to get the same top support as she did – while also advising women not to beat themselves up if they are struggling with breastfeeding.
Writing in her column for OK! magazine, Emily wrote: “Please don’t put pressure on yourself to breastfeed. There’s no point struggling if it makes you unhappy.
“There are various different ways you can get help with breastfeeding if you do wish to continue – and really clever ways, too. There are apps and you can even ask your home hub!”
Explaining her own ‘game changing’ discovery, Emily went on: “There are also breastfeeding counsellors, which I didn’t even know about until I had Theo. They work privately and for the NHS.
“It was a game changer for me to be able to speak to somebody who knew what I was going through and was so sympathetic. My counsellor was so calm and had some great tips about different positions to try.”
Emily’s kind advice comes just days after husband Peter’s bitter ex-wife Katie savagely lashed out at her and her parenting skills via social media.
In a brutal and unprovoked attack, 43-year-old Katie raged in an Instagram Stories post: "My mouth has been shut for so long but I've had enough of people selling stories on me and particularly this so called woman @dr_emily_official.
"Always said I don't want to be famous yet doesn't do too bad to stay away from media and TV and now trying to make a career out of it.
"So cringe she has used my children to make money in photo shoots yet covers her own children's faces up!"
Katie’s rant continued: "She is so jealous of my relationship I have with Princess and puts me down.”
Katie was later accused of failing to move on from her failed marriage with Peter – which ended way back in 2009.
But asked for comment on said accusations, Katie’s team seized the moment to stir the pot even harder.
Her spokesperson hit back saying: “This is all very boring and Kate is looking forward to her own wedding with Carl Woods this year.”
They added: “There is stuff behind the scenes that goes on and have to agree Emily isn’t innocent.”
Meanwhile, Emily is continuing to find great success and a fanbase of her own after this month releasing a self-help book for girls and young women, and wowing audiences on Loose Women as she appeared not he show to promote her project.
And Peter has declared he is “proud” of his wife as she continues to build her own empire and act as a loving mother to their two children – and the two kids he shares with ex-wife Katie.
