Authorities have downgraded the alert level for a bushfire that burned dangerously close to homes south of Perth on Thursday.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services issued an emergency alert for the fire, which was in the southern of suburb of Port Kennedy in the City of Rockingham, at 10:30am.
The blaze is now controlled and contained and the fire warning has been downgraded to advice level.
Earlier, the warning was in place for people in an area bound by Bakewell Drive, Ennis Avenue, San Sebastian Boulevard and Port Kennedy Drive in the City of Rockingham.
Firefighters are now strengthening containment lines, patrolling the area and mopping up.
There is currently no threat to lives or homes.
The fire was reported just after 9:30am and aerial crews assisted firefighters in attendance.
It started near the intersection of Bakewell Drive and Paxton Way in Port Kennedy.
Roads have been reopened.
Local residents are being asked to stay alert in case the situation changes.
