Emergency services have rushed to the scene of an ongoing incident in Rutherglen this afternoon.
The incident occurred at around 3.30pm with police and ambulance services attending the scene on Fernhill Road.
A man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance following the incident, with the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) also confirming they dispatched their trauma team to the scene.

An SAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 15:31 hours today to attend an incident in Rutherglen. We dispatched three ambulances and our trauma team to the scene.
"We transported one male patient to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.30pm on Tuesday, 11 July, 2023, police attended the Mill Street area of Rutherglen, following the assault of a man. The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Officers are following positive lines of enquiry and a police presence will remain in the area as the investigation continues.
“Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident 2113 of 11 July, 2023. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
