The emergency services were called to a fire in the open on a busy residential road in Sneinton. A crew from the London Road Fire Station has been at the scene in Westwood Road.
It followed reports of the incident at 11.30am on Friday (September 9). No injuries have been reported by the fire service. Firefighters remained at the scene to ensure public safety.
Earlier in the day, a spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "We are currently at reports of a fire in the open on Westwood Road Sneinton. We received the call at 11.34am and a crew from London Road is in attendance."

It comes just weeks after a large grass fire broke out near an old college site in Sneinton. The fire on July 20 was believed to have been started deliberately. Residents described the dramatic incident unfold.
