A number of Manchester City supporters blasted the officials after Manchester United midfielder Casemiro escaped punishment for a challenge on Manuel Akanji in the first half of Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley.
Following Ilkay Gundogan's sensational early opener, City were dominant in the opening exchanges, meaning United frustrations started to mount. Pep Guardiola's side, just as they so often do, were dominating possession and passing their way through their cross-city rivals.
Seemingly out of frustration, Casemiro was guilty of catching Akanji on his left ankle with his studs showing. The Brazilian got none of the ball but left his mark on the City defender, who was fortunate to be able to continue.

It was a nasty challenge from the United midfielder, who has been one of the Reds' best players this season, but he escaped any punishment from referee Paul Tierney and the VAR. In fact, it was United, astonishingly, that were awarded a free-kick.
Unsurprisingly, City's supporters blasted the decision that saw Casemiro escape punishment. It was a nasty challenge and he was very, very fortunate to escape punishment.
