Elvis star Austin Butler all shook up as obsessed fans 'throw themselves at him'

Austin Butler ’s fans Can’t Help Falling in Love with the hunk after female extras on the set of his Elvis Presley biopic kept trying to kiss him.

The ex- Disney star plays the King of Rock’n’Roll in Baz Luhrmann ’s much-hyped movie out this month.

And according to my sources, girls were throwing themselves at the heartthrob just as much when the camera stopped rolling as when paid to do so during filming.

One girl was even thrown off set in Australia after taking Elvis’s hit single, Kiss Me Quick, a little too literally.

My source said: “Austin was sending the girls wild during filming, he has real star quality.

“He had some girls literally throwing themselves at him – just like Elvis did back in the 60s. It was art imitating life.

“Austin was the ultimate professional but just him being on set caused chaos.

“Lots of the extras didn’t seem to care about work and were too busy trying to attract Austin’s attention. One girl even got kicked off set after trying to kiss him.”

The film, simply titled Elvis, is set to catapult Austin, 30, into global superstar status. He reportedly beat Harry Styles, Ansel Elgort and Miles Teller to play the singer, the biggest-selling solo artist of all time, who died 45 years ago in August.

Austin will now have to get used to both girls and guys falling at his feet. But it seems the star only has eyes for Cindy Crawford’s model daughter Kaia Gerber, who he has been dating since December.

Austin, who went out with High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens for nine years, is said to be smitten with Kaia.

Elvis is expected to be a huge hit with both critics and fans when it is released this month. And it should be good after taking so long to make. Moulin Rouge director Baz was first revealed to be on the project back in 2014.

The musical drama also stars Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge and UK singer Yola.
