Linda Nolan’s been trying her best to keep a rosy outlook since the news that her cancer has spread.
And one thing that has really made her blossom has been the show of support from her celebrity friends - in particular her unlikely pal, Elton John.
The I’m Still Standing superstar was clearly so moved by Linda’s bravery, he tracked down where she was staying through a mutual friend and sent her a large bouquet from him, his husband David Furnish and the boys.
The Nolan sister was so touched by the gesture, she was almost in the mood for dancing again.
“Elton John sent me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers! It was a lovely boost,” said Linda, 64.
“Bobby Crush sent me flowers, as did Paul from the Chuckle Brothers.
“It’s heart-warming, it shows people are with me.”
Linda bravely told last Saturday’s Daily Mirror how she fears it’s now a “one-way trip” after her incurable cancer, first diagnosed six years ago, was found to have spread to her brain.
But she is determined to maintain her trademark positive and upbeat attitude, laughing that she wanted a “sparkly pink coffin” and even throwing a karaoke party.
In her follow-up chat with this week’s Woman magazine, Linda reveals Elton’s gift - and her surprise, especially that he spent the time and effort to make sure they reached her at her sister Denise’s in Blackpool where’s she staying.
“Linda and Elton had first sang together on a BBC show in the 1970s,” explained a friend of the family.
“It was before the Nolans even released records.
“The flowers were absolutely beautiful. So it was nice to see showbiz veterans coming together to support their own.”
