Elon Musk is the focus of a new nearly four-hour documentary having its world premiere this week at the Venice Film Festival, in which award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney argues that Musk's greatest talent lies not in invention but in what he calls 'stock pumping' and promoting a compelling story about the future.
Gibney is not some pundit lobbing takes from the sidelines. He has built a career dissecting powerful institutions and controversial figures, from Enron to Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, as well as Scientology and abuses at Bagram and Abu Ghraib.
