Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg UFC fight could be held in Rome's Colosseum

If a UFC clash between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg couldn't be big enough, there is now a chance the fight will take place in Rome's historic Colosseum.

Tech bosses Musk and Zuckerberg have agreed to settle their differences in a cage fight and UFC boss Dana White has offered his helping hand to make the fight a reality. White has already begun selling custom t-shirts for $40 to promote the fight whilst legendary fighters such as Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre have offered to train the Tesla boss and Meta co-founder for the bout.

TMZ are now reporting that both Musk and Zuckerberg want the fight to take place at the Colosseum and White has since been in touch with Italy's Minister of Culture about trying to make it happen. Musk confirmed that Colosseum talks are underway as he tweeted: "Some chance fight happens in Colosseum".

White believes Musk vs Zuckerberg would be the biggest fight to ever take place whilst UFC veteran Chael Sonnen predicts it could sell a staggering 25million pay-per-view buys. The highest-selling fight took place in 2015 when Floyd Mayweather beat Manny Pacquiao as the 'Fight of the Century' sold 4.6million pay-per-view buys.

“You could for sure do 10 million plus but you could be closer to 20 and 25 million," Sonnen said on The MMA Hour. "What I would predict is both of their companies would start some kind of a digital arm. All of a sudden, I believe that Twitter would be hosting pay-per-views and I believe Facebook would as well. Now you’re talking 25 million views here. You could do that if the business shifted and changed a little bit."

White plans to sell the pay-per-view for $100 whilst Musk and Zuckerberg would donate all the money they earn from the fight to charity. The UFC boss spent 90 minutes on the phone with both of the tech bosses as they are both "dead serious" about fighting despite having limited experience in combat sports.

Zuckerberg took up Brazilian jiu-jitsu a few years ago and he won medals in his first grappling competition last month. Musk has admitted that he rarely exercises but insists he used to train judo, kyokushin karate, and taekwondo in his youth. Zuckerberg would give up a considerable height and weight advantage over Musk if they did follow through with their cage fight promise.
