Elon Musk has released a picture of him partying with Google co-founder Sergey Brin to dispel allegations he slept with his pal's wife.
The world’s richest man insisted claims of a fling with his friend’s former spouse, Helen Shanahan were “total bs” joking he hadn’t “even had sex in ages (sigh).”
The 51-year-old issued a photo showing him partying with Brin, 48, who was claimed by the Wall Street Journal to have broken off his friendship with Musk after the alleged betrayal.
“Took this pic only two hours ago,” Musk said of the photo of him laughing while rubbing shoulders with his fellow billionaire.
The Space X mogul said: “Nicole and Sergey’s divorce has absolutely nothing to do with me
“I am sure both Nicole and Sergey would confirm that.
I spoke with both Sergey and Nicole about this and they say the story isn’t coming from them, so [it] must be a case of broken telephone, two or three layers removed.
“And, not to dodge the question, I have only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around.
“We were not romantically involved in any way,” he insisted.
The Tesla CEO shared a similar message on Twitter while replying to a message claiming he “banged” Shanahan and was “apparently no longer friends” with Brin.
“This is total bs,” he tweeted.
“Haven’t even had sex in ages (sigh),” Musk insisted when the Twitter profile he responded to advised him to “keep your d*** in your pants” because “they’re out for your head.”
When another follower asked if that including not having sex during his recent holiday while in Mykonos, Greece, he insisted, “Nope.”
He dismissed the Journal's report as just the latest example of “character assassination attacks have reached a new level this year.”
Musk, who is worth a reported £210 billion, added: “Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night.
I've only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic.
“The character assassination attacks have reached a new level this year, but the articles are all nothing-burgers.
"I work crazy hours, so there just isn't much time for shenanigans.
“None of the key people involved in these alleged wrongdoings were even interviewed,” he said of the Wall Street Journal article.
The paper claimed Musk had a brief fling with Brin's lawyer wife Nicole at Art Basel, a multi-day art event in Miami, in December last year.
Brin, the eighth richest man in the world with a net worth of £79 billion, filed for divorce in January.
He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason, but the Journal reported it was Musk's relationship with Nicole that signalled the end of their marriage.
According to the paper, Nicole and Sergey were already having marital problems because of the stress of the pandemic.
They were also claimed to be arguing over the care of their four-year-old daughter.
