The fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg appears to be on. Musk announced on X, his social media platform formerly known as Twitter, that he and the Meta CEO have agreed to fight in an “epic location” in Italy, presumably the Colosseum in Rome.
UFC president Dana White first revealed the Colosseum as a potential location on Mike Tyson’s podcast earlier in the week.
This fight has been rumored to be in the works for a while now, but Musk’s confirmation makes it a real thing. Musk mentioned the fight will be livestreamed on both his X platform and Zuckerberg’s Meta platform, and it will be managed independently instead of through UFC, as White suggested.
The fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC).

Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all.
I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location.
Additionally, Musk mentioned all proceeds from the fight will go to veterans, and they will try to “pay respect to the past and present of Italy” during the fight.
To prepare for the fight, Zuckerberg has been taking Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes and Musk has been working with former UFC fighter Georges St.-Pierre. A date has not yet been set, but it appears these two tech giants will fight in the same arena as legendary ancient Romans.
