Elon Musk's dad insists he's not a 'Lothario' despite fathering stepdaughter's kids

Elon Musk's dad has denied he is a serial womaniser despite claims of countless lovers and fathering two children with his own stepdaughter.

Errol Musk made headlines this week after appearing to reveal he was not proud of his billionaire son on Australian radio.

However, Mr Musk claims his comments were misinterpreted and said he would die for Elon, who is now the world's richest man.

The 76-year-old also responded to controversy about his love life by denying he is a Lothario.

Mr Musk previously said humans are "only on earth to reproduce" as he announced the birth of a second child with his stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout.

He told The Mirror: "I wish I was a Lothario. I think every man would love to be one but I'm not.

"In my head I've slept with hundreds of women. Occasionally I find a woman that is attracted to me.

"(But) I've been on my own for at least three years."

Mr Musk announced last month that he had fathered a second child with the 36-year-old daughter of his ex-wife Heide.

He told the Mirror that both he and his son are attracted to intelligent women.

Mr Musk, who lives in South Africa, admitted he is a big fan of Elon's employee Shivon Zilis, who the Tesla boss recently fathered twins with.

Elon's dad said: "Shivon is a girl with an IQ of about 170 or something. I'd say Elon is on the right track there."

Mr Musk previously told The Mirror that he had seven children, although he has now revised the "official count" to six.

Mr Musk said DNA tests were required to confirm any other children.

He is speaking out this week after coming under fire over his interview with the Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia.

He appeared to say he was not proud of his 51-year-old son - who has 10 children - during the chat.

However, Mr Musk insists he was actually answering "no" to a question about whether he had expected Elon's success.

He told The Mirror: "I didn't say I wasn't proud. They (the hosts) were very nice but they came at me with a barrage of questions.

"She said are you proud of Elon and then said were you expecting his success.

"I missed the 'are you proud' of Elon thing and answered the next question."

When asked by The Mirror whether he was proud of his son, Mr Musk said: "One doesn't walk around saying 'I'm proud'.

"It's one of the seven deadly sins. Instead I would say I'm very thankful for Elon's achievements and that he is okay and managing."

Mr Musk said he was surprised when he saw reports claiming he was not proud of his son after his radio interview.

He added: "All my daughters contacted me and said 'how can you say that'.

"My daughter Alexandra Musk-Steuart wouldn't speak to me. I think it was only after her two sisters spoke to her that she started talking to me again.

"I told them I didn't say it. There were other reports saying things like I hated Elon.

"It's so ridiculous it's laughable. I would die for all of my children. I love Elon. I'm becoming more concerned about him every day.

"I'm worried about all the things he has to deal with, it's very worrying for a parent. He has so much to do."

Mr Musk also slammed reports for inaccurately reporting that he called his son fat in the interview.

He told The Mirror: "I wouldn't say that. Why would I want to hurt him or anyone like that?

"I said I told him he's not eating properly and he could look at getting his weight down.

"He's a beautifully built man but he's been forced into a sedentary lifestyle."

Elon previously described his dad as a "terrible human being" in a Rolling Stones interview, however Mr Musk says he is still in regular contact with his son.
