Elon Musk has denied being in a romantic relationship with Italy’s Prime Minister after they were pictured gazing into each other’s eyes at an awards ceremony.
The tech billionaire lovebombed Italy’s Giorgia Meloni during a glitzy black-tie event in New York after the right-wing leader requested Mr Musk hand her a top accolade.
Ms Meloni received a Global Citizens Award from the prestigious Atlantic Council think tank, which has become a centrepiece of the United Nations General Assembly's annual gathering of world leaders, on Monday night.
Mr Musk flattered the Brothers of Italy leader as he presented her with the award, describing her as "someone who is even more beautiful inside than outside" and “authentic, honest and thoughtful.”

There is no romantic relationship whatsoever with PM Meloni.
The Italian politician, meanwhile, responded by praising Mr Musk's “precious genius," Politico reported.
But the Tesla boss later denied there was any romance between the pair.
Responding to a post about the pair on X, the social media platform he owns, Mr Musk wrote: “I was there with my Mom. There is no romantic relationship whatsoever with PM Meloni.”
The pair have met several times before, with Ms Meloni hosting the billionaire at her official residence in Rome last year.
Musk was also a guest speaker at a political festival hosted by Ms Meloni’s far-right party last December.
