Elon Musk and House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have a long history of sniping at each other on social media, and that feud was reignited this week after the Tesla (TSLA) -) CEO took a shot at Ocasio's intelligence.
The terms "boy math" and "girl math" have been trending on social media for the past week as users make fun of the perceived incongruencies in the way the opposite sex lives their lives.

"Boy math is spending $100 on FanDuel and winning $0," is an example of one of the not-too-mean iterations of the trend circulating on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), which Musk owns.
The House Rep. decided to get in on the fun this week when she tweeted that "boy math is needing 15 attempts to count the votes correctly to become Speaker and then shutting down the government 9 months later."
The dig at House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) ruffled the feathers of the right wing side of the platform, so they hit back with their own example of "girl math."

If the point of the "math" trend was to bring the misogynists and misandrists out to the forefront, then the social experiment was a smashing success.
AOC couldn't let Musk get away with the jab, even if he didn't tag her in his insult, so she went back at the world's richest person with a list of some of her own accomplishments.
"I wasn't born rich and became the youngest woman in American history to be elected to Congress," AOC tweeted.
"Then I investigated Cohen, authored the largest FEMA funeral assistance program in history and led creation of a U.S. Climate Corps to create tens of thousands of new jobs. Stay mad."
That tweet was the opening Musk's fanbase needed to further berate the congresswoman about everything from her upbringing to, once again, her intelligence.
