Elliot Page is set to make a return to the big screen in the upcoming drama feature 'Close to You,' directed by Dominic Savage. The film, which premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, follows the story of Sam, a trans man portrayed by Page, who returns home for a family reunion.
In the trailer, Page's character expresses apprehension about going back home after nearly four years, citing concerns about being seen as a disappointment by family members. The emotional dynamics between Sam and his family, particularly his mother, played by Wendy Crewson, are central to the narrative.
