Newcastle United youngster Elliot Anderson is attracting interest this month as a host of Championship sides once again try and sign the attacking midfielder on loan. Anderson, plagued by a series of small injuries this season, has found game time hard to come by since Eddie Howe opted against letting him leave Tyneside in the summer.
As many as a dozen second-tier sides pursued Anderson before the start of the season, along with a handful of Scottish teams. Chronicle Live understands a number of those sides are again seeking to temporarily add Anderson to their ranks.
Birmingham City, Preston North End, Reading and Luton Town are among the English clubs keeping an eye on the player's situation this month. However, Howe may again choose to keep Anderson at St James' Park until the end of the season.

Newcastle are short of midfield options at present with Jonjo Shelvey set for another spell on the sidelines. Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes, Joe Willock and Sean Longstaff are currently ahead of Anderson in the middle of the park with the Magpies seeking much-needed cover this month.
Another midfielder is a priority for Newcastle before the end of the month, with the likes of Scott McTominay, Youri Tielemans and Manu Kone all admired by the Toon hierarchy.
Anderson recently signed a long-term deal at Newcastle but may have to bide his time before playing a bigger role in the future. "He is just at the start of his journey at this level but he has a very exciting future ahead and we are delighted that his journey will continue here," Howe said after the renewal.
Another promising youngster who could leave on loan is 18-year-old Garang Kuol. The Aussie sensation officially joined the Magpies this month but is expected to leave in search of game time in the UK.
Kuol, along with Newcastle loan chief Shola Ameobi, arrived in Edinburgh on Thursday morning to discuss a move to Scottish side Hearts. The move would see Kuol link up with three of his Australian national side team-mates.
