Ellie Goulding has been pictured getting close to surf instructor Armando Perez while on holiday in Costa Rica.
Last June, it was reported that Goulding, 37, and her art dealer husband Caspar Jopling, 32, had been living separate lives for at least six months, citing “hectic schedules” for the strain on their marriage at the time.
That same month the Brit Award winner was seen without her wedding and engagement ring when she attended the Serpentine Summer Party with Jopling.
The couple, who wed in August 2019 and share a son, two, together, have had to contend with much speculation about the state of their relationship since and were last seen together in London six weeks ago.
Sources close to the couple told The Sun that they “have been separated for some time” but remain “best friends” and “spend time together as co- parents”.
Amidst the reports, the Love Me Like You Do singer has been spotted enjoying the company of Perez during her latest trip to Costa Rica.
In photos obtained by The Sun, Perez is seen leaning in to hug and kiss the British star amid a lesson. The two then seemed to be in their own world as they enjoyed each other's company.
Perez - who previously took Shakira for surf lessons - and his brother run La Puente Surfhouse near Hermosa beach offering accommodation and lessons.
A source told the outlet: "Ellie and Armando seemed very into each other. They share a lot of interests including their love of nature and the ocean.
“When Armando wasn’t teaching Ellie, he couldn’t keep his hands off her and pulled her in for a hug and a kiss.
“Ellie looked blissfully happy and was laughing and joking with him as they messed around in the sea.”
Goulding had previously visited the Central American country in January and recently returned for a reported “wellness break” with pals following her gig in Dubai, UAE last Friday.
