Ellen DeGeneres Show child star slams cruel trolls criticising her teenage pregnancy

Sophia Grace Brownlee has called out cruel trolls for criticising her becoming pregnant while she's still a teenager.

The 19-year-old, who rose to fame on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, said everyone is going to "have their different opinions", but she is still excited about the prospect of becoming a mum.

The social media personality announced her pregnancy in a YouTube video last week and said she was "shocked" when she first learned the news but is "super, super happy about it".

Sophia said people have urged her to wait to have children later in life, but said she is looking forward to helping her child through life.

"Most people are like, 'You should have babies when you're 30 and you're married and you live in your own house,' which is completely fine.

"But obviously everyone's gonna have their different opinions," she said in an interview with E! News.

Sophia added: "I just feel it's about the person themselves. And as long as you feel ready and it's something that you're happy about, then it's really no one else's problem."

The YouTube star said her family and friends have been "so supportive", helping her to feel confident about becoming a first time mum.

Sophia , who was nine at the time, and her then five-year-old cousin Rosie caught the attention of Ellen DeGeneres after a video of them dancing to Nikki Minaj's Super Bass went viral.

The pair were then invited to perform the song on Ellen's eponymous show.

Sophia and Rosie captured hearts worldwide as they performed in pink tutus, with Sophia Grace blowing viewers away by showing off her rapping skills.

Following the TV appearance, Sophia and Rosie became overnight sensations and were repeatedly invited back on Ellen's show.

The youngsters were even invited on red carpet trips to interview celebrities they were fans of including Justin Bieber and Drake.

They made their last appearance on the show earlier this year to say goodbye to the talk show on its final series.
