One of the most hotly anticipated days in the shopping calendar is finally here, and savvy shoppers can snap up some real bargains this Amazon Prime Day. The two-day event runs from July 12 to July 13, with discounts on everything from TVs, laptops, beauty products, fashion, toys and gaming items.

Beauty buffs can snap up makeup brushes, luxury cleansers and fragrance for a snip of the price, including well known and much loved brands like Elemis and Urban Decay.

Not only are the offers prime - pardon the pun - for stocking up your cosmetics collection and skincare staples, but also for putting up for birthday and Christmas gifts throughout the year.

To save you trawling through pages and pages of deals this Amazon Prime Day, we’ve pulled together some of the best discounts of hair dryers, Dyson airwrap dupes, tried and tested makeup products, unmissable skincare offers, as well as makeup brushes, perfume and aftershave.

First up this Remington D3190 Ionic hair dryer was £51.99 , but shoppers can save 65 per cent with the Prime Day deal which takes it down to £17.99 . The hair dryer has received more than 8,000 five star reviews with shoppers praising it as ‘powerful’.

Ellie4149 said: “I bought this as a travel dryer as mine blew up while I was away. If I’m honest I wasn’t expecting too much from it, I decided to try it out this morning and what a shock I got. It’s so lightweight yet powerful and if I’m really honest it’s far better than my regular ‘home’ dryer which has a wattage. I have neck and spine problems and struggle to hold a hairdryer for prolonged time as I end up with pain.

Multi-styling hot brushes are more popular than ever since the release of the Dyson Airwrap, and a Babyliss dupe is also on offer for Prime Day. The BaByliss Air Style 1000 is a four-in-one hair dryer styler with various attachments, now priced at £34.99 down from £70.

According to Amazon, the attachments help offer drying, volume, curling and smoothing, making it a real ‘do it all’ electrical must-have.

For those looking to top up their summer makeup bags, there’s a great mix of drugstore and higher end beauty products to pick up. I previously reviewed the L’Oreal True Match foundation and loved how it makes my skin look and feel, so I’ll certainly be sticking up now it’s down to £6.29, down from £9.99.

With all the hot weather we’re having, a good setting spray is an absolute must, and many beauty fans swear by the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray . The 16-hour wear spray is now £18.25, reduced from £27, saving shoppers nearly a tenner.

New makeup brushes are always handy - especially if you’re planning on going away and want to take a travel kit. The Real Techniques Everyday Essentials - which is an Amazon exclusive - is down from £22.99 to £11.03 , and includes four full-sized brushes and two miracle sponges.

But if it’s just the sponges you need, they’re 50 per cent off on their own, down to £3.49 for two instead of £6.99.

Another product I reviewed was the Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara , which is usually £11.49. The mascara - which leaves lashes looking longer and fuller - is down to £7.28 until tomorrow.

Other offers on makeup include the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Makeup Primer for £3.58 instead of £7.99 , and Makeup Revolution Loose Baking Powder in Banana Light for less than £5, usually retailing at £5.99.

Elemis fans will be able to snap up some of their favourite skincare saviours for up to 47 per cent off. The Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream was £89, now down to £55.15, while the Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser is £21.27, down from £40. Not only that but the Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter is nearly half price, down to £15.99 from the original £30.

And finally, perfect for finding a new summer scent or for putting up for Christmas, a number of perfumes and aftershaves have been reduced for Prime Day, including the popular Ghost Deep Night which is now £16.16 for 50ml, instead of £36. Meanwhile, 125ml of Joop Homme is £21.99 down from £58, saving shoppers 62 per cent.
