Firefighters remained at the scene for a number of hours following the blaze. A property next door had to be evacuated.

An investigation has been launched by Greater Manchester Fire Service (GMFRS) to determine the cause of the fire, with details about the circumstances still unclear. GMFRS have been approached by the Manchester Evening News for more information.
