The Scotmid store at Rannoch Terrace is in the middle of the community and children had just finished school when the incident occurred.

Police Scotland confirmed to Edinburgh Live they were in attendance but said that thankfully there were no injuries to report.

The local resident said: "This car driven by an old lady and she was said to be partially deaf and disabled.

"Her car mounted the kerb when trying to park and smashed into the car you can see with broken lights.

"The police arrived and dealt with the matter but it was very lucky that nobody was seriously injured in the incident, especially considering their were kids in the area. "

Police Scotland told Edinburgh Live that they attended the scene of the two-car crash at around 4pm and no-one was injured.
