An elderly dog whose owner was no longer able to care for him has found himself in rescue waiting to find someone who can. Rascal has been a resident at Dogs Trust Manchester since November 2021, and would like to find a home before having to spend his second Christmas in kennels.
The ten-year-old crossbreed is ready to find a comfy spot on a cosy sofa where he can rest his paws - but don’t let his age fool you as he does like to live up to his name.
Despite being an older gent, fun-loving Rascal still likes to be active, loves a game of fetch, and adores splashing around in paddling pools on warm days.

This adventurer loves the great outdoors and enjoys quiet walks away from other dogs so he can enjoy all the sights and sounds to himself.
A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust Manchester said: “Rascal came to us as sadly his previous owner wasn’t able to care for him anymore due to ill health.
“He is very friendly with people and likes to say hello to everyone he meets. He has recently been enjoying spending time in the offices at the rehoming centre which is helping to boost morale.”
Rascal needs to be the only dog in the home and can live with children aged 11 and above. He’d also like a private garden so he can run around off-lead and play with his toys.
If you think Rascal would be a ‘pawfect’ fit for you, or you would like to find out more about any of the other dogs looking for their forever homes at Dogs Trust Manchester, please visit the Dogs Trust site .
