Elderly couple hit by SUV in Delhi's Kirti Nagar: Driver checks on injured couple, flees; 79-year-old man flung onto bonnet, wife injured

A 79-year-old man and his 71-year-old wife sustained injuries after an SUV allegedly rammed into them from behind near Arya Samaj Mandir in west Delhi's Kirti Nagar on Friday. CCTV visuals showed the driver stepping out of the vehicle and appearing to check on the couple before allegedly leaving the scene. She was subsequently arrested.

The injured couple, identified as Dayanand and Kusum Tagra, live in Kirti Nagar. Police said both are currently undergoing treatment in a hospital and are recovering. Their children live in the US.
