Elderly couple found dead on rail track in Bihar

PATNA: An elderly couple allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a moving train at Dhanpurwa Gumti near Sasaram railway station in Rohtas on Saturday night. The couple was identified as 75-year-old Ramashray Singh and his wife Rajeshwari Devi of Dhanpurwa.

GRP police station SHO Satyendra Prasad Singh said the incident took place around midnight. “It was not clear whether they committed suicide or murdered. We are investigating the matter,” he told TOI. Singh’s son Durgesh Kumar told the police that his parents left home on Saturday night for some work but did not return. His father used to run a grocery shop near the house. He denied any enmity with anyone.
