Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC release date finally confirmed after a leak

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

The release date for Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion has officially been confirmed for June 21, confirming the leaked information from earlier today.

You can see the complete trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree just below, which teases a storyline involving around Miquella, and the Land of Shadow. It looks like this is going to be a hefty departure from The Lands Between that we've spent many hours roaming around. The release date of June 21 confirms leaked information from earlier today, when a reputable leaker claimed knowledge of the planned launch.

Additionally, we now know that the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will be retailing for $40 when it releases on June 21. There's even a hefty collector's edition, which you can see at the very end of the new trailer just above, which boasts a complete statue of Miquella. At the time of writing, there's so much anticipation for the snazzy collector's edition that Bandai Namco's own website isn't even working.

The DLC has been an incredibly long time coming for Elden Ring fans, who have been waiting for more information since the DLC was announced all the way back in February 2023. The last month or so has brought even more anticipation than usual, thanks to a mysterious number of Steam backend updates for the RPG, which left users with more questions than answers. Finally, all this speculation has been put to bed.
