Watch the adorable moment an eight-year-old singer who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent performs at a care home.
Lucciano Mortimore sang his heart out at Avon Valley Care Home in Bristol on Aug. 19 – and left the elderly residents dancing and singing along with him.
The young superstar from Bristol captured the audiences’ hearts last year on Britain’s Got Talent when the judges gave him four yeses.
“I just like to sing and make people happy,” said Lucciano.
“Performing on Monday at Avon Valley Care Home was brilliant.”
“The residents were charming, loved to dance, and were the nicest to sing to,” he continued.
Pam Bridgeman, a resident at the luxury care home, said: “The performance was fantastic.”
“He is a born superstar. He can definitely come back again!”
Lucciano’s musical journey has been influenced by his family – as his mother, Marisa, was a member of the band, Girlband, on The X Factor in 2008, alongside JLS and Alexandra Burke.
The young talent also draws inspiration from his grandfather, Frankie Johns, a seasoned performer with over 30 years of experience singing in care homes.
Frankie began taking his grandson along to perform when he was just two years old – and now six years later, Lucciano performs solo in Bristol care homes and hospices.
“This is the proudest moment ever,” said Lucciano’s mother.
“Seeing Lucciano perform in care homes is amazing.”
“He brings so much joy to the residents.”
Administrator at the Avery Healthcare-owned home, Sarah Donaldson, booked the performance, and said: “When I booked Lucciano to visit Avon Valley Care Home, I knew he was good, but I didn’t expect him to be that good!”
“His confidence, along with stage presence, was just incredible!
“The residents loved it and have already asked when we could have him back!”
Frankie Johns, the young singer’s grandfather, said it is ‘always a pleasure’ to visit Avon Valley Care Home.
He added: “The staff is always so efficient, the residents are happy, and they always appreciate the entertainment.
“My family and I are so proud of Lucciano following in my footsteps and making a difference.”
