Welcome to the United On My Mind daily round-up, where we take a look at some of the best Manchester United stories that you might have missed.
Former United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar sends a good luck message to Donny van de Beek amid his loan move to Everton.
Amad has impressed his new Rangers teammates after scoring in his debut game for the Scottish champions.
And finally, the club have announced Matej Kovar has joined a League One side for the remainder of the season.
Van Der Sar-castic
It was clear for everyone to see that Van de Beek needed a loan move to revitalize his career. Despite interest from several clubs, the Dutchman will see out the rest of the season at Everton after former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard convinced the midfielder to join.
The player posted a picture on his Instagram confirming his loan move to Everton; former United goalkeeper Van der Sar commented on the post wishing him well with a rather interesting choice of words.
Replying to his Instagram announcement, Van der Sar commented: "Better luck with this club in the North West of England Donny!"
Our view : The former United goalkeeper doesn't strike me as the simple type. He's an articulate man who would know exactly how his words would come across and for him to say that is a firm but a fair reflection on United's treatment of Van de Beek.
He's a player who just hasn't been given a fair chance to prove his worth, and hopefully, throughout his loan move, he can claw back his fine form, which saw him land a move to Old Trafford in the first place. We're all rooting for you, Donny!
Amad plaudits
Just days after confirming his loan deal to Rangers, Amad scored on his debut for the Scottish champions in a 3-3 draw against Ross County. Although it wasn't the perfect result, Amad shined, and it didn't go unnoticed.
Speaking on Rangers TV, Joe Aribo, the man who assisted Amad's goal, said: "It was really good to see. You could see that he was a constant threat every single time he got on the ball, and he got on the score sheet. He's getting his numbers in already and that's very good to see."
Our view : This story will fill many United fans with joy. Amad is already making a huge impression after being at the club for less than a week speaks volumes. Rangers have Celtic on Wednesday evening in a huge top-of-the-table clash and both legs of the Europa League clash against Borussia Dortmund. This will give the United loanee huge opportunities to gain experience and better his game in the pursuit of re-entering the United set-up next season.
United confirm Kovar loan
United frustratingly didn't sign anyone in the January transfer window, but several players left the club on loan deals, including Matej Kovar.
The club's official website confirmed the 21-year-old would spend the remainder of the current season on loan with League One side Burton Albion.
Our view : Every player who joins United dreams of breaking into the first-team and playing in front of 75,000 fans every week. But often, when you're a goalkeeper, it proves a much more difficult task to do that, so a loan move for Kovar will give him much-needed game time and experience in the hope one day he can achieve his Old Trafford dream.
