Arsenal are reportedly eyeing-up a move for Montpellier striker Elye Wahi alongside a number of Europe’s top clubs. The Gunners had previously been tipped to recruit a new forward this month following Gabriel Jesus' knee injury sustained at the World Cup with Brazil.
The position was largely tipped to be Edu and Mikel Arteta's priority earlier in the month but Eddie Nketiah has hit stunning form with six goals in six games in all competitions. The Hale Ender has proved plenty of his doubters wrong since the World Cup and has silenced rumours of a new striker arriving in north London.
The Gunners have signed two players in the January transfer window with Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior arriving from Brighton and Spezia. It's understood a new midfielder is now the priority ahead of the final two days of the window with Moises Caicedo the subject of a rejected £65million offer.
