Edinburgh Zoo is set to bid goodbye to their two pandas as they are sent back to China after 12 years in the capital.

Giant pandas Tian Tian (Sweetie) and her man Yang Guang (Sunshine) stole the show when they arrived at the city’s zoo in December 2011.

The animals were due to only stay on a 10-year lease when they travelled from the Bifengxia Breeding Centre in the Sichuan province of China. But this was extended to cover the Covid period that brought in stricter border controls, the Daily Record reports.
