As we head further into the month of February, many people will be expecting the wintry weather to disappear in time for spring beginning next month.
However, the Met Office and BBC Weather are both predicting rainfall and cool temperatures for the coming days and weeks - and one weather map has even shown that snow is on the way for Edinburgh.
WXChart's latest weather map has shown snow in Edinburgh and surrounding areas on Sunday, February 19. In the map, the purple spirals indicate snowfall, which surrounds the central belt throughout that weekend.

According to BBC Weather, the highest temperature on February 19 is 10°C, with lows of 7°C. This wintry weather is expected to clear by Monday, February 20 - just in time for commuters heading to work at the top of the week.
In an update to this week's WX Charts map, snow is no longer expected on Friday as originally predicted. According to the Met Office's long-range forecast, rain and strong winds are predicted for Scotland.
Forecaster's said: "On Friday, cloud and rain are expected in northern areas, accompanied by windy conditions, with a risk of coastal gales and fog overnight. Southern areas will be mainly dry and brighter with lighter wind, although some drizzle is possible at times in western areas.
"Into the weekend high pressure in the southeast and low pressure in the northwest will lead to a continuation of this north to south split in conditions across the UK. For the rest of the period, there will likely be a continuation of predominantly dry and settled weather across most parts of the UK, especially the south.
"Some rain and strong winds are likely in the northwest at times. Temperatures overall likely to be close to average."
In the case of the coming days, rain and cloudy skies are expected for Edinburgh this week. The BBC Weather forecast predicts this week's weather below:
Today's forecast
This morning, western parts will be cloudy and breezy, but the east will remain bright. The cloud will build into south-eastern areas in the afternoon, but remaining bright in the north-east.
Tonight's forecast
This evening, it will turn cloudy for a time, but clear spells will develop in eastern areas overnight. A band of rain will move then in from the north-west, turning lighter and patchier towards dawn.
Tuesday's forecast
Tomorrow will see cloudy skies for many with a few spots of rain in the north-west, spreading south-eastwards through the day. Sunshine will develop from the north-west in the afternoon.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Wednesday will see low cloud and mist linger in the south and east at first, with a few spots of rain in south. Brighter in central areas, but windy and cloudy to the north and west.
A band of rain will move in overnight, clearing by Thursday morning. It will be breezy and sunny for many, but with blustery showers in northern and western areas. Cloudy and damp on Friday.
