Edinburgh weather: Experts predict exact time sun will come out in city

Edinburgh is set to get off to a bright and sunny start to the week, with clear skies expected by BBC Weather.

According to the forecaster, there will be "sunny intervals and a moderate breeze" on Monday.

It will be a mild day in the capital, with temperatures expected to peak at 13 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, before cooling down later on.

The morning will see grey clouds hanging over the city, with a 32% chance of rainfall predicted between 10am and 11am — and temperatures will hover around 10C until midday.

After this, things will brighten up as sunny intervals are forecast for the remainder of the morning and through into the early afternoon.

By 3pm, skies are expected to have fully cleared up and the rest of the day looks to be bright and sunny.

At around 5pm, temperatures will begin to fall from their peak of 13C, steadily dropping throughout the evening and night.

By 9pm, when the clouds are expected to return, temperatures will be around 9C, before dropping to lows of 3C early on Tuesday morning.

Tuesday looks to be another mild day in Edinburgh, and though there will still be sunny intervals, clouds will cover the capital for the entire day.
