The capital has seen highs of 30C over the past few days due to the UK heatwave which saw even higher temperatures in parts of England where it reached 40C.
But with temperatures now cooling the city down and people no longer soaking up the sun, weather forecasters have predicted a pretty wet weekend ahead.
And it's not just for Edinburgh with other parts of Scotland also set for some not so dry - and loud - conditions.

According to weather forecasters at the BBC, the Capital is set to see mainly rain across the next few days with the majority set to be light rain. However tonight (July 22) will see a heavier downpour between the hours of 8pm until at least 5am the following day.
Saturday will remain fairly wet with the rain yet again becoming heavier by the late afternoon at around 6pm. However on Sunday things are set to change slightly.
Forecasters are currently predicting that the Capital will see (and hear) thunder and lightning from the hours of 7pm to 10pm. There will be sunny intervals whilst this is happening with it peaking out from behind the clouds from 8am and then stopping before 9pm. It is then set to make another appearance between 11am and 9pm.

A cloudy evening and night with scattered showers at first, these occasionally heavy this evening. Turning drier in the early hours with thinning cloud. Light winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Saturday
Starting off dry but outbreaks of rain will spread northeast by early afternoon, although the east only seeing a little. Turning drier later but staying cloudy. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday
Warm and breezy on Sunday with showers, occasionally heavy. Cooler on Monday and Tuesday but it will be mostly dry.
