A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued for the city of Edinburgh by the Met Office, running from 5am on Friday, February 17, until 3pm.
The wind warning, which covers much of Scotland including Edinburgh and the Lothians, comes as temperatures are predicted to feel as low as 3C during the storm.

The Met Office warns of possible disruption to travel, with longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected.
They also confirm there is a 'slight chance' of power cuts and injuries due to "large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties."
The forecaster added: "There is a small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris and there is a slight chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
"There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected. High-sided vehicles may be particularly prone in this set-up.
"There is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
"There is a small chance that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties."

Today:
Some early sunshine especially along the east coast but cloud thickening from the west during the morning bringing some outbreaks of rain. Brightening up again in the afternoon with some sunshine and perhaps the odd shower. Breezy and mild. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
Tonight:
Early clear spells towards the east coast otherwise cloudy this evening with some light rain or drizzle, with low cloud bringing fog to higher ground overnght. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Thursday:
A mostly dull overcast day with fog on higher ground in the morning, along with some drizzle. Cloud lifting in the afternoon, brightening up a little. Rain arriving in evening. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
