Edinburgh is set to feel the heat this week as the Fringe kicks off in the capital.
The capital will see sun on Thursday and Friday, but tomorrow Tuesday 2 August will see the hottest temperatures of the week with highs of 23 degrees.

However, it won't be 'dry' heat as Edinburgh is set to experience showers across the week - with tonight, Monday 1 August's forecast from the Met Office warning of 'heavy rain into the evening'.
Here's what the Met Office has predicted for this week:
Today:
Dry with some good spells of sunshine until the afternoon, warm inland. Cloud, rain and freshening winds will spread to Dumfries and Galloway by the evening. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Tonight:
The night stays breezy with overcast skies, the rain soon spreading to the Lothians and Borders. This rain becomes light and more patchy from midnight. Very mild. Minimum temperature 14 °C.
Tuesday:
Mainly cloudy on Tuesday with patchy rain in the morning giving way to sunny spells and showers in the afternoon, the best of these through the Lothians and Borders. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Conditions stay breezy with scattered showers and bright spells from Wednesday into Friday, becoming cooler by Thursday.
