Edinburgh Warrender Swim Centre sets reopening date after months of uncertainty

The popular Warrender Swim Centre is set to reopen - after a year and a half of uncertainty.

The Victorian baths were closed by Edinburgh Leisure for 'essential maintenance' in December 2020, though several delays had locals wondering when the reopening would happen. When they closed, bosses initially hoped to reopen in September 2021 - a date which was pushed back.

Now, they've told residents that the pool will be open again as of May 23 at 7am. On their website, Edinburgh Leisure added: "Warrender Swim Centre is a Victorian-era baths which has served the local community for decades, and we're delighted to welcome you back very soon.
