Staying up late to study is how many people work best - whether it's at home or or in the library with the latter often providing some much needed quite time away from the busy crowds.
However one Edinburgh University student has taken to social media to explain why studying late at night in the university maybe isn't the best idea she's ever had.
Uploading to TikTok, Scarlett, also known as @sscarlettka, has shared with her near 70k followers why this is and although she's joking, people agree with her.

She explains: "So I am the last person at my schools' university and library right now which is a terrifying and horrible experience - let me tell you why.
"When you are the last person in the library or any of these rooms you have to be the one to turn off all the lights, totally fine, eco-friendly.
"But, this building is most definitely haunted and also it's kinda late at night and all the lights on the hallways are turned off. Every single light in this building is turned off so if I turn off these lights, I'm going to turn around and I'm going to see this in the background."
Pointing to the statues located in the book section she continues: "These are just going to be little shapes, little figurines in the dark.
"I'm going to turn around and be like 'there is a monster in this room' and then I'll have to sprint out of this building because it's just going to scare me.
"Which is silly I acknowledge but I don't know it's a strange place to be after dark when all the lights are off."
In response to her TikTok video, many people said they agreed calling themselves the "HCA gang".
And there has been at least one time in all our lives that we have had to sprint out a room or upstairs to our bedroom once the lights have been turned off in fear of someone, somehow, chasing us.
