A new Netflix series, based on a popular love story, will be filmed in Edinburgh, with the streaming giants recently confirming the news.
The Scottish Sun report that the capital is set to play a starring role in the major new series that will be based on the best-selling novel One Day.
David Nicholls' hugely popular love story, which is also partially set in the city, will be adapted with the help of Nicole Taylor, the writer behind the hit city Glasgow-set film Wild Rose and the BBC surrogacy thriller The Nest.

Edinburgh also featured in the 2011 film based on the book, starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, with popular beauty spots such as Arthur's Seat, Moray Place, Parliament Square and Calton Hill all featuring within the film.
Released by Universal Pictures and going on to $59 million at the box office on a budget of just $15 million, the film proved a great success, with Netflix hoping the new series will follow a similar trend.
The novel follows the lives of Dexter and Emma after the anniversary of their first meeting as they are leaving the University of Edinburgh.
Nicholls, who received an honorary degree from the university in 2015, was inspired to write the book after spending a summer working at the Fringe.
Giving evidence to the Scottish Affairs Committee, Anne Mensah, vice-president of original series at Netflix said: "There are lots of things coming up.
"I used to be the head of drama for BBC Scotland, so I used to live in Glasgow for five years.
"What is amazing is being able to know how brilliant the production sector is, how amazing the crew is, how brilliant the writers are.
"Working in Scotland for us is easy.
"It is a lovely place to work and The Crown has been shot there and is shooting there again.
"We are looking at a new version of One Day, by Scottish writer Nicole Taylor and obviously that had to be in Edinburgh."
Netflix's official announcement on One Day states: "An epic, tragi-comic love story, every episode catches up with central characters Em and Dex on one particular day- 15th July- as they grow and change, move together and apart, experience joy and heartbreak."
