Edinburgh is set to be hit with heatwave next week with temperatures in the city to soar to an astonishing 21c.
With Summer beginning to hit the city, Edinburgh is set to enjoy some scorching weather over the course of the next week, with temperatures soaring into the low 20 degrees by the end of the week.
Edinburgh locals are set to enjoy a warm weekend this week, with Saturday and Sunday both reaching 16C and 17C respectively. While some showers are expected to break up the sunny spells, it is still forecast to be very warm.

Moving into the start of the week, Monday is set to remain cloudy throughout the day, with some sunshine peeking through at the start of the day. However, it will continue to get warmer at the start of the week with highs reaching 17C.
The same is set throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, with both days to remain warm but largely cloudy. Wednesday is set to climb again to 18C, with lows of just 12 degrees throughout the day and little chance of rain.
Thursday will stay warm, also reaching 18C with wind gusts reaching 20 mph to help bring the perceived temperature down a few degrees.
However, by Friday, Edinburgh locals can expect scorching temperatures and sun finally breaking through the cloud layer. Temperatures are set to soar up to 21C, with lows of just 13C and sun breaking through by early afternoon. Some strong breezes throughout the day will also help keep people soon while they enjoy the sunshine.
