Edinburgh Street Assist volunteers came to the aid of man who suffered a head injury during a busy weekend shift.
In total, the charity helped 14 people in need medical assistance, and saved three ambulance trips by stepping in to help with their first aid trained volunteers.
Police Scotland ,who work alongside the volunteer organisation praised their work, sharing it on social media.

The team of 140 volunteers regularly come to the aid of those who have become injured or intoxicated in the capital, with 14 call-outs last night.
The hero first aiders rushed one male with a head injury to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and assisted police officers with a domestic assault.
A spokesperson for Street Assist wrote on social media: "A busy night for our team, dealing with 14 jobs.

"We stood @Scotambservice down on 3 occasions and took 1 male with a head injury direct to @RIE_Lothian
"Five referrals from@EdinburghPolice which included one for a domestic assault. We'll be back out again tonight. #HereToHelp."
