Edinburgh's Street Assist charity were once again out on patrol last night, April 22, with volunteers helping 13 people on a busy Friday evening, including one man who was having an asthma attack.
The charity regularly comes to the rescue of intoxicated or injured individuals on busy nights of the week, ensuring their safety and providing first aid in some cases.
The charity recently posted an update to their followers on social media, referencing how they started with just 23 volunteers back in 2016, and now have over 140, as well as a fleet of five vehicles.

Posting on Twitter last night, the team said: "We assisted 13 people during last nights shift. 5 of these incidents were discovered by our volunteers being out in the city centre. We also had 3 referrals from our partners @EdinburghPolice.
"We'll be back out tonight at 10pm."
Posting a little more information on their Facebook page, the team said that they also saved a male who was suffering an asthma attack.
They added: "Our team answered calls including a female who had fallen, a distressed male, a female with a cut to her head, a male having an asthma attack, a female lying on the ground and to others that'd had to much to drink."
The team will be expecting an even busier night tonight, with most outings coming on Friday and Saturday nights, as Edinburgh Live have previously reported how the volunteers are constantly out on watch and coming to the aid of dozens every week.
A daily update is usually posted on the Street Assist Facebook and Twitter accounts, making locals aware of the valuable work that goes on when darkness falls in the capital, with Edinburgh Police regularly thanking them for their work.
